GARDEN WHISPERS

Image
As I patiently wait for flowers to bloom, I ponder the whispers of my garden’s womb.   As the breeze blares and touches my brown skin I feel the gentle caress where new dreams begin   New plants mirror generations to come; tree shadows shield us from the scorching sun.   Withered leaves remind me, soft and kind, All things pass with time, let's hold that  in mind.   White hibiscus buds reach toward the skies, a beacon of hope, a promise that never lies.   Sunlight graciously infuses life, Flowers burst forth with quiet pride. Rain becomes their faithful friend, nurturing soil, helping some to mend   Tall plants shelter and shadow the young ones, They're small, yet they stand where glory runs.   Orange bougainvillea starts to appear, dangling to the ground, like my spirit blossoms bright, wild and round.   Red blooms guard my welcoming entrance, showing strong and blissful abundance.   These simple sights feed my vibrant glee As I savored...

THE LOST CAR KEY

Image
The lost car key... As I sipped my coffee, talking with my father-in-law, I heard the birds chirping merrily outside the window. Their distant hymn, a joyful sound, with a splendid view, Filled me with awe, a moment fresh and new.   This beautiful, tranquil place, I loved so well. I wished my husband were here, sharing memories and stories to tell. It would make my day and ring my sweet bell. Yet, God's wisdom doesn't allow me to stay in my comfort shell.   As I began to write my poem's next stanza, My phone rang, a call from my teacher, Dr. Crispina We started our prayers, reflecting on Black Saturday, Sharing insights on Jesus' sacrifice in an array. Yet, whilst we prayed, I gazed down the road below, I remembered my car key, I lost a few hours ago. Climbing upward last night to where I stand, I stumbled on the dark and stony land. As we finished, Ma'am Fe Rosario appeared, As she closed the prayer, the sun's fierce heat I feared. I sought the key, my signal l...

BOY

Image
BOY   For many years we've been together, God strengthened me, in my fate of life, ever.   I became a mother eagle, soaring high in the sky, Ready to face the storms of life that I couldn't sigh.   Through the years you struggled with your illness, God comforted your pain and forgave your soreness.   You rejoiced despite suffering and earthly pain, Because our Lord Jesus prepared your room in heaven.   Thank you for preparing and molding me, helping me face fate's challenges, Difficult as my path may be, I bravely faced the treacherous path it weaves.   In your sighs and sobs, in your awakening and anxiety, Unknowingly, you built a beautiful family, a wonderful legacy.   Despite your way of loving, your anger, and discipline, Still you are loved dearly by your siblings and children.   We will not forget your laughter and your cries, We will always reminisce about the smoothness of plights.   Thank you for supporting all the endeavors I starte...

BLUE SKIES

Image
Blue Skies The lonely and precious afternoon conversed with the silent skies, whispering to the remaining light of the day, where the pains I carried subsided.   It was comparable to the path of angels as they were carried towards the wandering clouds.   Contentment wiped away the silent tears of my inexpressible joys as I recounted the pages of the whispers of my soul.   How beautiful this scenery… how blessed are my eyes that witnessed this gift of nature, that I was given the chance to admire this beautiful world.    As I drifted along the current of life under these beautiful  blue skies…

GRACE FINDS GRACE

Image
GRACE FINDS GRACE It was still dark outside. I wandered into my garden, awestruck by its quiet grandeur.   As I gazed at the sky, a lone star shimmered in the vastness its brilliance is a silent message to my soul.   Daybreak’s calmness enveloped my thoughts, yet darkness and light still vied for dominance. Undimmed, the star stood proud, defiant.   I feel I am that star no need to compete with others’ glow. To those who truly see me, my radiance is unparalleled.   Alone, yet unafraid, I linger in tranquil space, silent but sure. For those who gaze at the skies, know that, grace finds grace.   ~ME Helen Sarita

IF TOMORROW WOULD'NT COME

If the ensuing day wouldn't come And this moment will soon be gone. Ponder the walk that I patiently tread. To journey with forbearance wasn't dread. . Remember the purest smile on my face. That I wore day-to-day with extensive grace Contemplate how I maneuver my sentiment. To embrace this world vast of resentment If the sun wouldn't radiate its existence And the moon wouldn't show its presence. Gaze at me as the unseen stellar of darkness. Fantasize my sweet, captivating brightness. . If this world may continue its evolution You can perceive my existence in the notion.
