I THOUGHT I WAS AS BEFORE

Image
I thought I was as versatile as before— that I could easily bend from east to west, stretch myself north and south, become as elastic as I could.   I thought I was still young as before— that I could blend vividly with a roaring storm, and never feel the ache in my muscles, even when I stumbled, even when I crashed hard to the floor.   Oh, I thought I stayed just as flexible as days passed by, my journey moving fast, face forward—never would I sigh. I DON'T NEED A TITLE

When eyes look up and wonder who I am, I smile and say my worth is not in name. Not in the titles or the praise of men, but in the service I give to God again.   I am not perfect, I have my flaws, but my service comes from a grateful cause. I give back all that I have received, for every blessing that my life has achieved.   Just as I don’t need a title, I never seek to be famous. Not by our own strength, nor by our own plan, but God is watching, smiling from afar.

I let flow a stream of quiet tears — not of sorrow, but of release.   I feel the stillness of the room, yet hear the riot of unspoken words. I bless the comfort found upon your shoulder, and in this quiet space I am filled again with the gentle, precious memories of the past.   I shared what rose from deep within, and saw how many hearts were touched.   It is the passage of my spirit, lingering soft and keen, waltzing gracefully.   My inner being fully blended with the fullness of my wandering thoughts —   My immortal truthfulness, the light that guides, the voice that remains powerful, yet at times fallible, weak, kept being drawn by spirit, which is p...
