I DON'T NEED A TITLE

When eyes look up and wonder who I am,

I smile and say my worth is not in name.

Not in the titles or the praise of men,

but in the service I give to God again.

I am not perfect, I have my flaws,

but my service comes from a grateful cause.

I give back all that I have received,

for every blessing that my life has achieved.

Just as I don’t need a title,

I never seek to be famous.

As God will lift me up high,

I believe no one will dare to sigh.

You may call me Helen, or simply “friend,”

or you can call me Eme — as my team knows me in the end.

I serve with humility, with all my heart,

and ask for your prayers, your support, and your part.

I hope all goes well, and we’ll see it through,

and work together as friends and as true.

Not by our own strength, nor by our own plan,

but God is watching, smiling from afar.
