AS WE TAKE OUR EVERY BREATH

Image
As we take our every breath. You've reminded us that tomorrow is not a promise That life can anytime be taken, we can't hold this That our dreams can only be cast by the wind We're sad but nothing to do but embrace the pain You were just so real lovely, so kind and bright You've left passage of  love to open up our eyes You understand things are just temporary And how significant is love for the family Now, you are one of the beautiful angels Your sweet voice will travel through heaven There, you'll be gracefully dancing and rejoicing As you watch your loved ones on this beautiful earth Let us live the lessons you've left. .. as we take our every single breath. WOULD WE STILL BE WRONG THIS WAY AGAIN?

Image
Poem # 23 Would we still be wrong this way again? You tried to push me out of your life. As I had hurt your feelings so right. Would you give us up that easy? You have so many doubts about me. I cried tears and was deeply in pain. Sometimes I told myself you're vain. You've told me you'll never be mad. Even at times, I made you feel sad. But here I am. Still, I never surrender. As you still dwell in my heart forever In every moment, I felt so much missing you. I asked silently if you missed the way I do? I've no reasons, but still, I go for you. That was what my heart told me so Allow me to love you profound and deep. Wanna take care of your soul this lovely. I want to be your soul's best friend. I am taking this as a significant challenge. I asked why I am still here for you. Maybe because I truly love you so Thanks for opening your heart for this hearty game Though we promised not to see each other again We can take our steps in our dream...

AS WE GO TO AND FRO

Image
This is another successful collaboration with Deborah. I GO, TO AND FRO Dedicated to Helen Sarita It's all the same, everywhere I go. I already know, joys of intoxication Desire for laughter Routine for highs Lack of lows Yet nobody knows Yet I see beauty wherever I go~ I see your laughter As we live for each other I see beauty through people I know. I believe in humanity. But Lord Jesus first. I believe in love As I go to and fro~ A single rose represents you. represents love smelling the rose makes me smile I prick my hand with the beauty but it's the same, where ever I go~ I walk my steps with love and friendships. we sit for a cup of tea unique friendship, like a diamond shining so bright there is no beauty in this life without you there is no life if I am all alone no joy or smiles without our satisfied sighs it's alright, it's all the same as I go to and fro.~ Debbie Brooks (c) Dedicated to Helen Sarita Helen Sarita, pleas...

BROKEN LOVE

Image
Last Poem for 2018! Daniel Franklin sent me a sorrowful poem for our book. It's Poem # 22. I tried to finish it before midnight. It's not fair to be sad tomorrow🍁. He said it is like a knife killing him😊 See? There is always beauty in sadness, and many would shed tears upon reading this collaboration of ours🔰. I am sorry, Bud, if this made you sad, this simply means we successfully pour our emotions into this poem! Happy New Year to you! Broken Love We were so in love Proud of each other Loved Smiled Had many plans for a future But it seemed in a blink of an eye, it was all gone. What went wrong? Where did we go wrong? Are there any answers? Because now we so distant So far apart We did not even end it right. Not even as friends More like strangers from another Planet How can Strong Love go so wrong? Was it Pride? Was it Attitudes? Was it Tempers? Or was it something else? Maybe we will never know… I remember the good days. The special days The da...

POETIC JOURNAL

Image
My Poetic Journal. The year 2018 has given me a tremendous experience in many aspects of my life, and it has proven my worth in a certain situation. As I continued to execute humility, patience, and control, I can firmly attest to the world that these virtues are essential to become worthful. There were times that some wished to drag me down and that I have to raise myself high in my most humble way to win my battle. I let my actions promulgate who rea I am as a person. After all, great people can read genuine hearts without hearing a single word. As I poured my spirit into whatever I was working on,  whether I was writing a poem or doing anything for my living, I only carried my true self doing the best I could be, not minding the time nor anything unpleasant to ruin my day. I experienced both abundance and insufficiency this year, but I deeply consider these as teaching and a challenge that are never-ending in life. At the end of my day, I couldn't even speak to the Lord so long...

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Image
Yes!...9 more poems to complete our book! Christmas love It was a cold night Dark As I strolled, a Star filled the sky. I certainly was down on my luck. And with love as well. Hurt Pained But hopeful Nevertheless, I walked closer to the Christmas Tree in the local town. A small town in Northeast America But that is when I saw you. Your eyes so bright Your hair so soft and frizzy A smile that could stop any man in his steps I was amazed Caught up with your beauty Then that is when you saw my dark eyes. My mixed hair We made eye contact We walked closer, as smiles were radiant among the stars and Christmas Lights. Then that there is when we officially met Talked continuously without boredom Knowing we were made for each other So, we stood by the Christmas Tree. Light so lively Stars so cheerful I held your soft face. Looking into your brilliant eyes Kissing you As I told you, I loved you. You responded with a warm and loving kiss. As our lips were seale...

HAPPY NOVEMBER

Image
Answer  to Helen Sarita poem Let's sleep away November till the dawn of December, Where we will be merry one more time.. as we look at our children's faces. As we wake in a golden era... looking for the sparkle, looking for the love...seeing those amazing eyes where all dreams visit. A play, a presence with laughter, and her muse never let her down.. her muse listens to every heartbeat as angels tarry around, a timeless voice for all as we smile another smile laugh another laugh, her muse never let us down. December of grace and happiness, love so true. We wait with bated breath with a slight wind blowing in the night, kissing the angel's eyes. In the mortal stars of the night...let's be jolly as we wait for her muse to complete the thought of who we are—our dear Helen. Let's just be. Happy November turning into  December, the month of love. Debbie Brooks (c)
