THE ART OF MY BEING
I'd like to let my soul slumber for a while,
My body seeks the comfort of rest.
I turn my thoughts away from noise and strife,
Wishing my spirit to be tranquil and blessed.
May you understand the depth of my being,
As it matures like a silent wind.
It is a magic sedative that soaks my mind,
Penetrating deep within.
The residue of chaos, the shadows of past,
Sometimes made me feel so futile and abhor.
Yet look! A wonderful art was born,
Created from what I endured.
The remnants of ashes from my uncertain past
now allow my soul to dream and trust,
hoping and believing this peace will remain,
and in God's grace, forever stay, not in vain.
I just love to be mindful with my compassion
My love intensely flows within my heart.
I only want to flow in Your passion,
And let Your love be my work of art.
