WHEN THE STARS WERE YOUNG

When the stars were young, and so too were our days,

we seemed to think only of our plans, our dreams, our achievements.

But when we grow mature, we understand, as we age,

that we have but an ethereal dwelling on this earth.

We come to see, and softly imagine,

the celestial, the cosmic, waiting upon us,

beyond time, beyond place.

And so we become ageless.

Touched by our stars, we become the song of the wilderness.

Just as we navigate the road of life,

every thought, every act of trust, every maneuver we take matters.

We must ask ourselves, where is it we are going?

Do I stay here, or move toward my purpose, toiling?

We arrive at destinations we never imagined,

guided by a plan greater than our own grit,

one that unfolds in ways that are truly perfect.

We may experience turbulence,

but it strengthen us to endure,

a lesson no school can ever teach,

an education that lasts a lifetime.

Though our hearts may sometimes tremble with worries,

something wonderful is waiting for us in the years that make us breathless.
